The Collector (DEMO)
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
You are an alien named James that has crash-landed on a mysterious planet called Earth. Unfortunately, your boss won't send help unless you document the art and architecture near the location you landed: what was once called Cleveland, Ohio. Can you retrieve the artifacts from this long-gone civilization and make it back to your home planet?
This demo was created in three weeks for our senior project in high school.
Demo features:
- Completed first stage of the story focusing on the Cleveland Praxiteles statue
- 4 unique characters to convince and win over along your journey (choices matter!)
- 3 puzzles with different mechanics
- ~8k words (around 1-3 hours of playtime)
Price:
Free! However we would appreciate any donations as 100% of them will go towards the Western Reserve Historical Society. This organization “is Cleveland’s oldest existing cultural institution” and your money will go towards supporting their work in art preservation and curating cultural archives (learn more).

This is really cool!! I loved the graphics, sound, plot (it was interesting and humorous too), and informational elements. The puzzles were very fun as well. I liked how intuitive the gameplay was, and at the same time the player can find out some unique functions by experimenting. If the developers add the next stages I would love to play them!

My expectations were BLWON AWAY!!!! Not only are the plot and educational qualitiy superb, but there were some really fascinating gameplay elements like the vase puzzle that was a bit tricky but didn't take longer than 3 minutes. It felt like I was acatully in Ohio. Excited to see
